To Our Valued Members

Happy New Year everyone, unfortunately we are still not out of the woods with this new variant.  In response to the Provincial Statement on Monday January 3, 2022 regarding the  Temporary move to a modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen, effective Wednesday January 5 2022 at 12:01 am, the Bowmanville Older Adult Association will be deferring all in-person activities but will remain open with limited access for Registrations, Membership renewals, Inquiries and Purchases.

We encourage you to please join us for continued BOAA fun with our Virtual Winter and over-the-phone programs and events starting officially Monday January 10th 2022.

 

The Board of Directors and staff are all thinking of you and miss your smiling faces.  Hopefully, we can put this all behind us soon, and gather again.

Please stay Healthy and Safe!!!

 

The BOAA remains committed to continuing to provide safe and exceptional older adult programs and events to our members. We encourage BOAA members to access our Virtual Programing and activities via BOAA Without Walls:

Future details regarding drive-thru events and footcare services will be communicated when available. We will have curbside pick-ups for program materials, books, puzzles and more during our office hours Monday through Friday 10 am to 3 pm to assist our members.

We truly appreciate the support you have offered us during these troubling times and we ask that you continue to make informed decisions while making sure you are always looking out for the health and safety of yourself. October 28, 2022Blog PostsDear Members, Many of you were issued credit notes in 2020 when BOAA closed our doors due to the COVID-19 lockdown. It is wonderful to be in a much better place today – with our door open and events happening more regularly. Many individuals who were issued credits in 2020 have since used them or donated them back to BOAA. Thank you for doing so. We do however have quite a few outstanding credit notes from 2020 that we need to settle. We would ask you to please use any outstanding 2020 credit notes on programming or consider donating funds back to BOAA. If you donate them, you will receive a charitable donation receipt -see Stella Riccio x46. If you have not used or donated your credit note from 2020 back to BOAA by November 15, 2022, it will be void. We appreciate your understanding and support as always. Any recent credit notes (from 2021/2022) will continue to be honoured. Please consider:Carpooling Booking Wheels In Action (24 hours + in advance) Getting a ride where possible. Parking in the community and walking to the centre (If you are an able bodied) to allow for those with accessibility needs to utilize the parking spots. Coming early for programs to plan ahead for parking. Being courteous of our neighbours when parking on the road, making sure you don’t block driveways or access.Thank you for your patience around parking.
