BOAA Program Cancellations Due to Inclement Weather – Friday February 7th 2020

  • Post Comments:0 Comments
🚫 🚫 ❄️ ❄️ In the interest of your safety, all registered programs, along with our Wheels-In-Action Transportation Program & registered programs will be CANCELLED today – Friday February 7th 2020 due to inclement weather. The Bowmanville Older Adult Association will remain open for DROP-IN programs, Catch the Ace Draw at 12:30 pm, along with services including Laughs and Locks by Teresa. Cancelling classes, programs, events and activities is our LEAST favourite thing to do, however, your safety is our # 1️⃣ priority! ❄️ ❄️ 🚫 🚫

Please keep in mind the BOAA’s Weather Closure Policy:
▪️When ALL school buses within Clarington are cancelled, the BOAA will cancel all registered programs and scheduled events, only allowing the centre to remain open for DROP-IN activities.
▪️NO “Wheels In Action” services will be provided.
▪️BOAA Staff will attend work only if they are comfortable with travel and close the centre early when possible.

Please be aware that we do our absolute best to keep our entire membership informed of weather cancellations. We suggest to keep up to date by checking our Facebook page and website regularly www.bowmanvilleolderadults.com for any changes, additions or cancellations.

We thank you for for your ongoing support, cooperation and understanding regarding weather closures.

As COVID-19 continues to affect our lives, we all must do our part. We care about your health and wellbeing, which is why the BOAA Board of Directors have made the decision to temporarily close the doors of the Bowmanville Older Adult Association, in addition to the Catch the Ace Draw officially on hold with no ticket sales available at this time.

We are honoured to be a part of your lives and look forward to reopening soon. Please follow us on our Facebook page https://facebook.com/BowmanvilleOA or our website https://bowmanvilleolderadults.com to stay informed.
