Volunteers provide our organization with vital support as we empower older adults to discover new wellness skills, perspectives and beginnings. We cannot function as a non-profit organization without the many dedicated, hardworking hours which these volunteers put in. One of the many rewarding and fulfilling experiences of being a BOAA volunteer is our themed Annual Volunteer Appreciation Night at the Clarington Beech Centre. Last week we held a fantastic event to celebrate these vibrant and active volunteers who make the BOAA what it is today. We are forever grateful for our volunteers who dedicate themselves to this organization and cannot thank them enough! From Spanish guitar entertainment, to our guest speaker, Hamlin Grange from DiversiPro, an amazing Mexician-themed meal, awards for our 5 year, 10 year and 15 year volunteers, giveaways fromMucho Burrito Bowmanville, dancing with the sounds from Then & Now, and much more! The evening was a complete success and we have our staff and community partners from from local businesses and service clubs to thank who came to help out and give back to our BOAA Volunteers – great job everyone!
