Lakeridge Health is Building for the Future…

  • Post comments:0 Comments

Lakeridge Health is evolving as a regional system of acute care and wants to ensure it can meet the health care needs of the communities it serves – today and well into the future. To help guide how and where health care services will be delivered over the next 20 years and beyond, Lakeridge Health is embarking on a Master Planning Process.

This is a formal process to identify what programs and services are required to meet the needs of the community over the next 5, 10 and 20+ years and where those services should be located. It also results in the creation of a blueprint for construction and development of the hospitals and other facilities needed to deliver those programs and services.

To help shape the development of the Master Plan, Lakeridge Health is inviting community members to participate in a public survey and Telephone Town Halls. The input and feedback
gathered through the survey and town halls will inform the development of Lakeridge Health’s Master Plan.

To ensure the Master Plan reflects and meets the diverse needs of the growing communities it serves, it is important people living and working in Durham Region have the opportunity to provide input about the way acute care services are provided today, and inform how those services can be improved in the future.

The public survey will be available until March 11, 2018, with Telephone Town Halls planned for late-February and mid-March. Phase 1 of the public consultation will run until late March with the full Master Plan completed by early 2019.

Lakeridge Health is a five-hospital health system with hospitals in Ajax, Bowmanville, Oshawa, Port Perry and Whitby and more than a dozen community health locations across Durham Region. This is an exciting opportunity for our community to provide input that will help shape the future delivery of acute care services across our region.

To learn more about how you can get involved and to take the public survey, please visit www.lakeridgehealth.on.ca. Information can be found in the Building for the Future section.

Thank you in advance for your support.

October 28, 2022Blog PostsDear Members, Many of you were issued credit notes in 2020 when BOAA closed our doors due to the COVID-19 lockdown. It is wonderful to be in a much better place today – with our door open and events happening more regularly. Many individuals who were issued credits in 2020 have since used them or donated them back to BOAA. Thank you for doing so. We do however have quite a few outstanding credit notes from 2020 that we need to settle. We would ask you to please use any outstanding 2020 credit notes on programming or consider donating funds back to BOAA. If you donate them, you will receive a charitable donation receipt -see Stella Riccio x46. If you have not used or donated your credit note from 2020 back to BOAA by November 15, 2022, it will be void. We appreciate your understanding and support as always. Any recent credit notes (from 2021/2022) will continue to be honoured. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.   The BOAA remains committed to continuing to provide safe and exceptional older adult programs and events to our members. [...]
