2025 Walkathon
Join us on June 7, 2025, at 26 Beech Ave for the Bowmanville Older Adult Association’s 2nd annual walkathon, Walk Your Socks Off ! Choose a 5km or 1km route, then enjoy a Backyard BBQ, local vendors, and live music—all in support of older adults' health and wellness.

Time: Check-in begins at 9:00am
Where: 26 Beech Ave (BOAA Centre)
Participate as an individual or form a team, collect pledge donations, and our top donors will receive special acknowledgment at the walkathon. If walking isn't your preference, join as a cheer squad along the route or volunteer for the event.
How to participate:
- Walking (with a team or individually)
- 1km or 5km.
- $20 registration fee for walkers
- Cheer Squad
- Stationed in teams along the route to cheer on our walkers
- Volunteer
- Make our event a success by lending a helping hand.
*Please visit our front desk if you are interested in participating as a cheer squad or volunteer. There is no fee to participate in these roles.
Collecting Donations:
- Raise money with your team or individually.
- Collect pledges from neighbours, friends and family. Donations above $20 will be issued a charitable tax receipt.
- Submit donations by clicking the button to the right or pick up a pledge form at the front desk and collect donations.
- Individuals and teams that collect the most donations will receive special acknowledgement at the event.
